The American Red Cross developed this online learning course and certification with the National Federation of High School Associations. This course gives you an overview of first aid and best practices for common first aid situations encountered by coaches. It is developed and issued by the American Red Cross and also includes psychological and mental health situations.

The USFCA awards 2 continuing education credits for the completion of this course.

This course does not meet OSHA requirements and does not fulfill BLS requirements.

What to Expect

• Registration: Click on the blue “Start Course” button. This will take you to Part one where you will find the Red Cross First Aid, Health & Safety for Coaches registration link. You will pay for and then access the course through this link.
• Learning: Approximately 15 minutes after inputting your information, you will receive an email with a link to begin the class. Progress is saved as you go along. Be sure to reference the requirements below for optimal learning experience.
• Certificate: Once you complete the learning and pass the class, a certificate of completion is issued. This will be emailed to you approximately 4 hours after completion.
