Description:
Fencing Masters Paul Sise and John Krauss invite you to join us in Connecticut for a weekend clinic on April 30th and May 1st that will look at group class and lesson construction and adding tactical elements into your instruction. This clinic is designed primarily for those coaches who are already capable of teaching the various basic fencing techniques and are now more concerned with how to get their students to win. In other words, this clinic will be looking at material that is beyond the scope of the Moniteur exam and should help coaches attain skills necessary to earn Prevot certification.
Goals:
1) Ensure coaches are aware of the safety, ethical, and professional requirements inherent to being a fencing coach.
2) Give coaches the tools to be able to create an endless variety of group classes and lesson material through the understanding of how to select skills and combine them in a variety of ways in order to suit the needs of beginner to advanced students, or a combination of both.
3) Teach coaches concepts and skills that are necessary to increase the tactical complexity and challenge of individual lessons in order to facilitate the development of higher level competitors.
Cloth masks will be required at all times and proof of Covid vaccination is required to attend.
