Internet course: The Classical Fencing Demonstrator course and certification is the first level coach development course offered by the Classical Academy of Arms. Taught in the context of classical Schools of fencing (1880-1939), it prepares trainers to work as professionals, and starts their education in coaching principles and sports science. The course is based on the classical foil as the first weapon, consistent with period practice. Although based in classical technique, modern fencing coaches will find it thoroughly grounded in modern coach development principles. The Academy is accredited by the National Committee for the Accreditation of Coaching Education.
