Coaches Clinics, Training, and Continuing Education

The noble privilege of the Fencing Master is to defend and enhance the prestige, passion and poetry of the sword, and instill them into the heart and mind of the pupil. While he must be able to treat adequately the spiritual side of the art, his aim and toil is to demonstrate the architectural beauty of the science and the harmonious simplicity of its laws. Only by complete devotion to his profession will he accomplish his duty – to help fencing retain and expand its honored place among the more worth-while activities of mankind.

Funds available for Fencing Coaching Clinics

Because the USFCA believes that coaching education is one of the most important things we can do to grow and better our sport we are implementing the Clinic Rewards Program. The Professional Development Committee has instituted a new incentive program to help clinic hosts make their coaching development programs profitable and successful. Beginning March 1st all USFCA clinics are eligible for $20 reimbursement per participant in any sanctioned clinic. To receive reimbursement submit the “Organizers Evaluation Form” located at the end of the “How to Host a Clinic” document to the USFCA Clinic Coordinator, Mark Masters. A clinic organizer can expect to recieve the incentive rewards after all documentation has been processed.
