The noble privilege of the Fencing Master is to defend and enhance the prestige, passion and poetry of the sword, and instill them into the heart and mind of the pupil. While he must be able to treat adequately the spiritual side of the art, his aim and toil is to demonstrate the architectural beauty of the science and the harmonious simplicity of its laws. Only by complete devotion to his profession will he accomplish his duty – to help fencing retain and expand its honored place among the more worth-while activities of mankind.Aldo Nadi
The Professional Development Committee (PDC) is dedicated to developing fencing coaches through educational programs. The PDC coordinates coaching education through coaching clinics, webinars, and the annual Coaches Academy. Anyone interested in hosting a Coaching Clinic should contact the Chair of the USFCA's Professional Development Committee (PDC), Vinnie Bradford. Maîtresse Bradford and the PDC assist the USFCA Regional Vice Presidents in coordinating the regional clinics and strengthening the training programs.
After completion of a clinic please submit the Organizers Evaluation Form and the Clinic Participant Evaluations. Be sure you follow the Procedures for Conducting Participant Evaluations. A clinic organizer can expect to receive the incentive rewards after all documentation has been processed.
