Certification Equivalency

Are you an established fencing coach with prove results?

USFCA Past Coaches College Certified Students Equivalency – $70

In our effort to work in partnership with US fencing, we are offering USFCA equivalency in a specific weapon(s) (i.e. Moniteur of epee) for past Coaches College Certificate holders that received their certification in 2011 or earlier.

Equivalencies are offered per weapon, as shown below.

CC Level 1 – Assistant Moniteur
CC Level 2 – Moniteur
CC Level 3 – Prevot
CC Level 4 – Prevot
CC Level 5 – Master (with approved and completed Master’s project, thesis, or presentation)

You must be a USFCA member. Please purchase a membership and then go to the Members Only tab and scroll down to “Courses”.

Pay for this course to get reviewed in ONE weapon only.

If you have a certificate from the Coaches College please prepare a digital copy to upload in the application. If you do not have a copy of your certificate, type in the year, level, and weapon that you attended the Coaches College in the box that says, “Level Requested”.

Foreign Certification Equivalency – $150

For US coaches certified in other countries, the USFCA offers equivalent certificates.

For coaches certified in another AAI country, the process is straightforward. However, for those certified through a different foreign body, the CAB will conduct the necessary research to grant the appropriate certification.

Foreign coaches should allow a minimum of three weeks for AAI certifications and two months for non-AAI certifications.

You must be a member of the USFCA.  Purchase a membership HERE. Once you have purchased a USFCA membership, login and visit the Members Only tab and scroll down to Courses.  Enroll in the Foreign Certification Equivalency Course to complete the application.

Before you open the application you should have all of your documentation ready and if there is more than one document put them in a zip file. Be sure you know your USFCA member ID number. You can find you number in your USFCA profile.

Once the application is submitted it will go to the Certification and Accreditation Board for review and the applicant can expect the process to be completed within 30 days.
