Welcome to Maine for our Spring 2025 Clinic. This clinic will be ideal for new or uncertified coaches, physical education teachers learning to teach a fencing unit at their school, current Assistant Moniteurs and Moniteurs, even those coaches working towards Prevot. Coaches with less experience are welcome to attend and all coaches will be given material appropriate for their skill levels. This clinic will include four separate modules of four hours each. Each module will include an assessment. In each module, the Coach Developers (CD) will demonstrate a Moniteur version, and by request, a higher-level version of the material. The Coaches in Training (CIT) will be shown how to teach: warm-ups; individual lessons with fundamental fencing actions (basic towards more advanced); and group classes. The CITs will practice the coaching skills in designated practice sessions with assistance and feedback from the CDs. All of the various aspects of the teaching fencing skills: cueing, distance, timing, managing groups, etc. are being looked at within a usable context. The material that is presented is very useful in contemporary fencing and as Coach Developers, we are committed to you and your coaching development. CITs must register to participate in the clinic in only one weapon. Fencers ages 13+ with at least a year of competitive experience or equivalent skills are encouraged to register for the clinic as students for a fee of $100 for the weekend through the USFCA\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s registration page.
