Tempo is the thread that connects all three weapons in fencing. It can also be used to develop a common language from one style of fencing to another. Through explorations of tempo we can bring strengths from one weapon to another and find ways to problem solve in our lessons, building specific situations to create unique learning environments for each student. The workshop will focus on tempo and simple actions as the building blocks for creating drills and individualized lessons. Weapon specific refinement on lesson concepts and techniques will be given, making the clinic ideal for a coach who wishes to develop a second or third weapon.
