Description:

What separates an average fencer from a dangerous one? The ability to know when to go. How does a coach train students to recognize the moment to act and to transition from closed-loop to open-loop execution? Join Maestros Gil Pezza, Marco Secco, and David Sierra, for a Special Topics Clinic that tackles fencing\\\'s most critical coaching challenge: teaching the transition from deliberate setup to instinctive execution. The coach developers leading this clinic bring diverse backgrounds and distinct coaching philosophies, united by a shared commitment to fencing and coach education. Through their collaborative work on athlete and coach development clinics at NOVA, they have forged a common framework within their specialty weapons that they will present here. For Epee and Sabre Moniteurs and Prevots pursuing advancement, and veteran coaches seeking new tools.
