How to Host a National Coaching Development Program (NCDP) Core Clinic

Steps to Organizing and NCDP Clinic

  1. Contact USFCA staff at info@USFCA.org or call 817-995-2535 for coordination and assistance. The USFCA will:
  • Create a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which explains in detail the responsibilities of the host organizer and the USFCA.
  • Our clinic coordinator, Traci Sethre, will provide the clinic organizer with assistance selecting a qualified coach developer and a date which would best serve a particular coaching community. She will also provide guidance in finalizing the clinic syllabus to meet the Professional Development Committee approval requirements.
  • Create an official joint NCDP/host graphic to be used for marketing.
  • Complete the NCDP Core Clinic Application for the clinic organizer.
  • Market the clinic on the USFCA website, with national email blasts, and through social media exposure.
  • Collect the registration fees and pay the coach developers.

2. The host/organizer will:

  • Sign and return the above-mentioned MOU
  • Provide a finalized syllabus using the NCDP syllabus template
  • Provide the facility for the clinic, conduct the clinic, and follow the National Standards for Fencing Coaching Clinics.
  • Help coach developers turn in formative assessments conducted for coaches-in-training attending the clinic.
  • Turn in the Host Evaluation Form at the conclusion of the clinic.
  • Direct Coaches in Training to the participant evaluation form.

3. Profit split

(At the conclusion of the clinic after all coach developers and other expenses have been paid)

  • The host organizer will receive 60%
  • USFCA will receive 40%
